GoPro Mount
Product Design
A self-initiated product design project involving the design, prototyping, and testing of a custom GoPro mount.

Challenge
Standard GoPro mounts don’t adapt well to helmets with irregular geometry, leading to unstable and unreliable setups.
Objective
Design a made-to-measure clip that fits the helmet and GoPro securely and stays easy to attach/remove.
Success criteria:
Stable footage
Repeatable positioning
Helmet-safe contact
Camera Comfort-friendly placement
Process
Defined success criteria and iterated through rapid 3D-printed prototypes tested directly on the helmet. Once fit and angle were validated, I refined the design in TPU 95A for grip and flexibility, and supported two attachment options: 3M tape (fixed) and Velcro (swappable).
Results
The final design delivered a stable and reliable fit during downhill skate sessions, with both attachment options performing as expected. Feedback from other riders suggested publishing the file for the MakerWorld community to download and print.
