Challenge

UX was not formally integrated into the product development workflow.

Objective

Establish a clear and scalable foundation for UX within product development that supports collaboration across teams.

Process

BUP (Bloola Unified Process) is a hybrid UX process designed as a layered system. It defines phases, roles, responsibilities, and deliverables across the product lifecycle, providing structure while allowing flexibility in execution. The process was operationalized using existing tools: Jira to structure stories and tasks across phases, and Sketch as the primary design tool within the UX/UI workflow. The definition of BUP was developed in close collaboration with product leadership, including the CEO, CTO, and Product Management

Results

Before the BUP, UX decisions were fragmented and communication across teams was inconsistent. Introducing a shared UX process improved alignment, clarified roles and responsibilities, and supported more consistent product delivery. While timelines and estimations were not always perfect, the process adapted well to real constraints and significantly improved internal communication and collaboration.
